What is mindfulness?

“Mindfulness is knowing what is happening, while it is happening, without preference.”
- Rob Nairn

Mindfulness is an evidence-based practice consisting of the knowledge and tools necessary to live a life of peace, calm, and clarity. The brain is not wired for joy; it is wired for survival, and unfortunately, this means we often live from a place of fear. As a result, we suffer from stress, anxiety, burnout, and disconnection from ourselves and others. Mindfulness helps to break this ancient habit of the brain so that we can wake up to the peace- and joy-filled life that is waiting for us in this very moment.

Through a blend of neuroscience, psychology and Buddhist philosophy, my practical teachings help you to rewire your brain, soothe your nervous system, and nurture your authentic Self. As a result, you move from practicing mindfulness to joyously living The Mindful Way.

The benefits of mindfulness practice:

  • Significant stress reduction

  • Strengthened emotional resilience and reduced reactivity

  • Enhanced cognitive flexibility and focus

  • Decreased depression and anxiety

  • Physical health: stronger immune system, better sleep quality, lower blood pressure, and better pain management

and it probably does.”
